Day 7 - Your dream wedding. (vacation)

Hawaii - one day we plan on going on a honeymoon "vacation". We did not go on a honeymoon. A friend of ours loaned us her house for the weekend as she was in the Hospital. All I remember is sleeping away the day on Sunday because standing on my feet most of the day on Saturday was a killer. My hint to every new bride, take time to smell the wedding cake so you remember your big day.

Day 6 - A photo of an animal you'd love to keep as a pet.

My baby Babe! I need say no more, she if beautiful and I adore her.

Day 5 - A photo of yourself two years ago.

Not flattering at all.

Day 4 - Your favorite photograph of your best friend.

Me and my bestie

Day 3 - your idea of a perfect 1st date

My idea actually did happen with Robert. The night after we met we decided to have a movie night at a friends house. I asked him to make sure he brought his own pillow because I don't share. At this point I am not sure what kind of girl he thinks I am, but I was staying at this friends house on the couch, so, I really did not have another pillow to share with him even if I wanted to. He shows up at my friends house when I looked through the peep hole he was holding a pillow in a Garfield pillow case on his pillow. I had my friends come to the door when I opened it and we all were giggling and he was standing there all shy, it was very very cute. Cannot remember what movie/movies we actually watched that night. Hmmm? I will have to think about that one... Oh, and, no I don't think this should be either one of my kids perfect first dates.... Just sayin!

Day 2 - a picture of something you ate today!

My favorite Kettle chips were day 2. Trying to catch up on my posts because I forget to go here every day.

Day 1 - A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

So, yep, I posted a picture I took of myself today. Wow, I really did cut all my hair off.

So, today was a good day. I finished 2 gifts that I was sewing and I cut out the next gift. I provided a service to someone I love and her son, which I know for sure I will be receiving blessings for. YAY come on blessings....I really need them. LOL.

I picked up the house and am really working on keeping it in the ready for if people drop by stage so that I'm not running around to quickly pick things up. Also, I'm playing lots of Christmas music.

Oh, yes, Alex and I went to Big O tires and had to replace her front right tire and get her car aligned because the other morning she hit s drainage cover that popped up from too much rain. It was super dark on the way to seminary and still had some wet yucky road to drive on. Not really blaming her too much. Just an accident. Just a really expensive accident though. Merry Christmas to me. While they were fixing the car we popped over to Marie Calendar's and had a bit of lunch, plus our favorite piece of pie ever! Mine was Coconut cream and Alex's was Chocolate Silk. YUMMY! I forget about Marie Calendars' I don't know why. Maybe that is a good thing?

I stole this from Alex who stole this from Dianne. Yay!

The Wedding of Chris & Rachel

Isn't this the sweetest couple? Our dear, wonderful, missionary, Chris married his best friend and sweetheart over the weekend. Robert and I were able to be there for the sealing and we all enjoyed the lunch and reception later that day. It was a quick trip, but it was soooo worth it. These guys are very special people to us and we love them and WE KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE!

So long, I forgot about my Blog

I'm up late tonight. I can't sleep. Things are running through my mind and I cannot make my mind shut off. I'm thinking about a conversation Alex and I have been having. Sort of an ongoing thing. She feels she is ready to be married as soon as a certain young man comes home from his mission. She is thinking of dates, and I guess in a way so am I. I was counseled that should this wedding come about, I should not discourage it. But Alex is only 16, almost 17. And by the time this young man comes home she will still only be 18, and by the date she is talking about she will still only be 19. He will be 21. So, So young. And they both want school, but they will need full time jobs to be able to even live in a humble apartment. ARGH. It's very frustrating and scary. And it's her life. So I should just let them learn. Things were just so hard for Robert and I and we were in our 30's when we got married, (well I was anyway, he was only 26). I want things to be easier for Alex. But with hard work comes learned lessons I suppose.
